There is plenty happening at Donnelly Standardbreds as we continue preparing horses, expanding ownership opportunities and building a clearer way for new people to enter the sport.

On the racetrack

Bourbon With Fire is providing the immediate race-day connection that makes Standardbred ownership exciting. Each start creates new information for the trainer and owners, from how the horse handled the trip to what adjustments may help next time. Racing plans always remain subject to the horse’s condition, available classes and the trainer’s judgment.

Developing the yearlings

Pink Beaujolais and Three Card Miki represent the patient, developmental side of ownership. With yearlings, progress is measured in smaller steps: adapting to routines, maturing physically, learning equipment and preparing for more formal training when the horse is ready. The horse’s welfare and long-term development come first.

Making ownership easier to understand

The website is being expanded with a dedicated Ownership page, educational articles and an ownership-cost calculator. Visitors will be able to explore estimated purchase and monthly costs, review current opportunities and submit a simple interest form.

What comes next

Upcoming updates will focus on meaningful developments rather than filling space. Watch for new photographs and videos, training progress, race entries and results, changes in available ownership shares and additional educational information for prospective owners.

Stay connected

If one of the current horses interests you, contact Donnelly Standardbreds for the latest availability and pricing. Horse ownership involves risk, and racing results or financial returns are never guaranteed, but the experience can offer a rewarding connection to the horse, the stable and the sport.
