Nate Alexander is a third-generation horseman whose family roots in harness racing run deep on both sides. His father raced horses until Nate was 17. Although his parents encouraged him to attend college—where he played basketball and studied finance—the pull of the horses ultimately brought him back to the sport.

Before establishing his own stable, Nate spent two years in the breeding industry at Hanover Shoe Farms, working closely with Dr. J on a daily basis. He later moved to Ohio and gained additional experience working for respected horsemen Mike Hitchcock and Hank LeVan. Nate has now been training his own stable for five years.

Nate trains both trotters and pacers, competing throughout southern Ohio, at Northfield Park, and in Kentucky and Indiana. His specialties include developing young horses, improving conditioned horses and working with conditioned claimers.

His program begins with the belief that each horse’s health must come before everything else. He emphasizes proper conditioning, high-quality nutrition, hydration and gut health. Horses train weekly—often in sets—and receive individualized programs supported by corrective shoeing, regular veterinary evaluations and ample paddock time.

Nate also believes owners should feel connected to their horses and comfortable communicating with their trainer. He provides regular training and racing updates and welcomes calls or texts from owners between 7 a.m. and midnight, seven days a week. As the stable grows, owners can expect more behind-the-scenes videos and updates, along with stable events designed to build friendships, strengthen the ownership experience and create new racing partnerships.

A native of Republic, Ohio, Ryan Stahl has spent most of his life around Standardbred racing. He began driving as a teenager and has
developed into one of Ohio’s most accomplished horsemen, recording more than 5,000 career driving victories and over $30 million in purse earnings.

Ryan operates from his family’s 80-acre farm near Republic, where he trains both pacers and trotters. His experience extends from developing young horses to managing seasoned racehorses, and he regularly competes at Ohio county fairs and major tracks throughout the region, including MGM Northfield Park and Eldorado Scioto Downs.

Known for his hands-on approach, Ryan brings the perspective of both a trainer and a driver to every horse in his care. His decades of experience, knowledge of the Ohio racing circuit and practical understanding of each horse help owners make informed decisions throughout the racing season.

Ryan’s long-standing success reflects his dedication to the horses, consistent horsemanship and commitment to providing owners with an enjoyable racing experience.
